Happy New Year! We would have never thought we would be going into 2008 without our little one home. We hope that 2008 will be a great year with safe travel and good health for all four of us.

Adoption Timeline

June 23, 2008--Re-adoption and name change complete. Camdyn Jayne is official!
February 4 @ 11:10pm, 2008--Arrive at home and Camdyn is an official new U.S. Citizen
February 4, 2008--Leave Hanoi for USA
February 1, 2008--Final Approval for Visa--Visa's delivered to hotel by agency staff!!!
January 31, 2008--Appointment at United States Embassy for Visa Approval
January 30, 2008--Baby's Medical Physical @ SOS Clinic
January 29, 2008--Pick up Vietnamese Passport
January 23, 2008--G&R Ceremony (formally adopt baby girl)
January 20, 2008--Arrive in Hanoi
January 18, 2008- Leave for Hanoi!
January 8, 2008--Preapproval from USCIS and "Permission to Travel" to Vietnam to adopt the baby
December 10, 2007--USCIS confirms receipt of I-600
November 29, 2007--I-600 mailed to HCMC, Vietnam
September 10, 2007--CFC Date! It's a Girl!!!
July 5, 2007-"DTV"...let the wait for a referral begin!
June 28, 2007- 171-H arrived, taken to county & state for seal, then sent to Consulate for authentication
June 26, 2007- 171-H mailed from USCIS after only 3 weeks!!!
June 22, 2007- Authenticated Items received at agency from Vietnam Consulate
June 12, 2007- Dossier documents County certified & State Authenticated. Mailed to Consulate for Authentication
June 8, 2007- Received International Vaccines (ouch!)
June 7, 2007- Fingerprinted for Immigration, Homestudy approved by Agency
June 3, 2007- Fingerprint Invitation arrived from Immigration
June 2, 2007- Homestudy Completed!
May 17, 2007- I-600A mailed to Immigration
May 13, 2007- Application to Agency
May 11, 2007- Home Study Paperwork Complete & Submitted
May 10, 2007--Unbeknown to us....Sweet baby girl born in Northern Vietnam :)
May 7, 2007- First appointment with Social Worker
